Reading, Watching & Discussing Jane Austen

Welcome to the Jane Austen Book Club!

Please pull up a cushion, have a cup of tea, and above all make certain that you are ready to read (or in some cases, reread) the beloved books of Jane Austen.

Here at the Jane Austen Book Club (JABC), we encourage members to be open with their discussion, to voice their opinions on the characters, themes, plots, and even quotes from the books as we read them. Our rules are few, but they are important so please be courteous and obey them. It's a place born out of summer (and winter) boredom and the knowledge that everyone needs a little Jane in their lives to ask the simple question: what would Jane do?

You don't have to join to participate in dicussions, but we do ask that you read the Rules & FAQ just so that you can get a better idea of how this is going to go.

Happy Reading!

The person, be it gentleman or lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel, must be intolerably stupid.
